Kayla & Kevin have been on our blog quite a few times in the last year and a bit, you might remember their nautical themed engagement session and their Canada’s fireworks pre-wedding portraits. Well the day finally arrived for their Muskoka wedding. Set lakeside at Kevin’s family cottage, coined Hilarity Hall in the 1800’s is located in Port Sydney, Ontario. Surrounded by 150 of their friends and family, casually seated, sipping lemonade and cocktails around the dock. We photographed portraits of the family in front of the old family barn, and the couples photographs down a quiet pathway that the groom used to walk with his grandmother as a child. The bridal party took a pontoon boat ride on Lake Mary towards the reception which was held at the Port Sydney Community Hall. It was an extremely hot day, but guests did not let that deter them from dancing the night away under the strings of edison lightbulbs that hung over the dance floor to the tunes of one of Muskoka’s most popular wedding band Laganza.
At the end of the night, wedding planner extrordinaire Lucy Myers and her team set up a bunch of candles on the Port Sydney docks for a romantic photo op.
