Jeff & Courtney Got Engaged – Windermere House, Muskoka

by Ryan Rowell

This year we have been really, really happy with the locations our awesome clients have chosen for their weddings and engagement sessions. We love Muskoka, and all the little towns and resorts that reside in it. This year we have covered a lot of ground up North.

Jeff & Courtney decided to have their engagement session at the same location as their wedding. Usually when we tell couples to choose a place that means something to them for their engagement photos, we don’t usually mean the same place they are getting married. But Jeff  & Courtney assured us that there was lots of places to shoot, and that we should just come and see it for ourselves.  They were more than accurate, Windermere House is so beautiful! It reminds me of the East Coast of Canada. Big white wooden houses, on the water. Windermere House was built in 1870. Its so charming and quiet. You really feel like you are the only people in the town (it is a very small town so that could be true) I hear summers are very busy.

It rained on Jeff & Courtney’s engagement session, but we all toughed it out long enough to see the sun break through.

Here are some of our faves from their shoot.

Stay tuned for the next blog post featuring photos from Jeff & Courtney’s wedding. Trust us, you won’t even know the engagement session and the wedding were shot at the same place.

Cheers
