Old London Town

by Ryan Rowell

Today, its foggy in Barrie, it does this quite often in the early morning around here. It reminds me so much of London, England. This past New years Ryan and I spent 3 weeks in Europe photographing a wedding celebration for our amazing clients and good friends Tara & Ryan.
We arrived in London On December 27th 2009 and to our surprise it was beautiful and sunny. I had always imagined London to be very gray and foggy and rainy. Oh but don’t worry London did not disappoint. It was gray and rainy for the entire week and a half we spent there aside from the first 2 days.
London is one of the busiest cities we have ever visited, every corner you turn in that city takes you into a different world it seems. There is so much going on and so many people from all over the world, we never felt out of place.
Ryan and I love being tourists, when we go to new places we like to see the architecture so we visit as many monuments and buildings as we can. We love museums and art galleries, but whenever we are traveling we hate spending time indoors. We want to be out there with the locals; grabbing lunch at a pub, taking the Underground around the city, experiencing the history of the area.
We did visit 2 museums in London, Madame Tussauds Wax Museum and Victoria & Albert Museum, which you will see on the blog very soon.
When Ryan and I arrived in London the first thing we had to see was Big Ben (in true tourist fashion).

Here are a few images we took from our walk around.
More to come soon.
