It must be summer because we are spending every weekend in Muskoka; photographing engagements and weddings and families. Its a truly wonderful way to spend the summer and spend a working day. Although photographing people with their families and on truly happy occasions never really feels like work. If only the view from my office window wasn’t the adjacent fence of my neighbours property, then I would truly be lucky.
Earlier this month we had the pleasure of spending the afternoon with Jill & Mike at their cottage in Muskoka on Lake Joseph. Jill’s dad picked us up in the boat and in a matter of minutes we were away from the bustle of the busy highways and cruising along the undisturbed lake. Jill & Mike wanted us to capture a little piece of their weekend life at the cottage. Its where Jill grew up and now its where they are creating new memories as a family. Its amazing how a setting sun, a few glasses of wine, and a calm lake can make for the perfect Muskoka engagement session backdrop.
