Winter Barrie Country Club Wedding

Early March we had the pleasure of photographing the most lovely winter Barrie Country Club weddings. This couple has been featured on our blog before for their sunset engagement session on the lake in Barrie. We are so excited to share with you their gorgeous wedding. Jillian & Derek were married at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Phelpston just a short drive into the country, and from their reception at The Barrie Country Club. We loved shooting at both these venues, but what made their wedding so special for us was that they chose to do their portraits in Jillian’s dad’s backyard. Its not often you find such a lovely property, with an adorable barn, situated in a tiny forest town. It was the perfect setting for their winter wedding, and halfway through the portraits we even had a tiny snow fall. This event had several special photo moments that we loved. Jillian’s dad’s reaction during their first look, the cheeky priest who photobombed a romantic portrait, and the groom bought a ton of sparklers for some fun reception photos with the wedding party at the end of the night. It was a dream wedding, with such a fun couple who soaked up every amazing moment of their wedding day.

What a great start to start the season. We hope this is just a precursor to our already amazing 2015! Congratulations to Jillian & Derek! We wish you nothing but love, laughter and happily ever afters.
