Alison & Dan – Taboo Resort Wedding, Muskoka

Why do we love shooting weddings at Taboo Resort in Muskoka? Aside from Muskoka’s obvious beauty, and our amazingly awesome couples who get married there, the main reason is because we get to work and hang out with Nicole Despins. She is Taboo Resort’s wedding and event coordinator, and this is our shout out to her.

If you are considering Taboo for your wedding, you need to ask for Nicole when you call. Be patient she is super busy because all brides want to get married at Taboo Resort. From our point of view (a vendor’s point of view) here are a few reason’s why Taboo Resort rocks!

1. No matter how little or how much we are carrying into the resort there is ALWAYS someone there at the door to help us carry it in. I know it sounds silly, but the staff’s chivilrous nature has not gone unnoticed.

2. The staff never hesitates to call a golf cart for us to take us from one location to the next. I don’t just mean during photo time with the couple and bridal party, I mean if I forgot something in my car in the middle of the reception there is always someone willing to drive us in the dark to our car.

3. They make sure that when it comes to taking photos that we get full run of Taboo Resort’s best locations. Nicole and the staff at Taboo are and have always been the most accomodating to us as vendors. It is always a pleasure to work there.

A few weeks ago we photographed Dan & Alison’s wedding. Lucky us, we got to work with our very good friends Rachel and David Clingen who did the decor, floral and draping for Alison & Dan’s wedding.
