Casa Loma Wedding Toronto

This summer we photographed the Casa Loma wedding of Brian & Michelle in Toronto. Getting married at Toronto’s castle definitely has its perks, but the best perk for us is that there is no shortage of places to take photos. Brian and Michelle started the festivities with a private first look in the gardens. Brian waited for Michelle at the end of a leafy covered pathway. Bridal party portraits took place in the gardens, and couples and family portraits took place in the games room and in the bridal suite. After their stunning ceremony in the Conservatory, we photographed the newly weds in the castles classic archways at the front of Casa Loma. With their cocktail on the back patio and their reception in the library, there wasn’t much we didn’t see of Casa Loma for this wedding.

We loved every minute of this wedding, it was fun and unique, with so many personal touches that made it memorable for us. Almost everyone was playing the game Pokemon Go! Even the groom and groomsmen. The speeches were funny and emotional. I looked around the room during Brian’s dad’s speech and saw that everyone was crying when he told Brian how proud he was of him. Then all the extended family including grandparents prepared a group dance for the bride and groom. It was surprisingly ethereal. But then at the end of the dance, and egged on by his bridal party, and friends the groom took the floor and danced what might just be, the best, and most exciting tribute to Korean singer Psy we have ever experienced. Like true professionals the group dancers followed suit, and before we knew it there was a crazy dace party to Gangum Style happening before our eyes.
